Senator Encourages Area Residents to Stop By,
Share Concerns and Ask Questions
DES
MOINES – Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) announced
today that his Regional Director, Beth Freeman,
will hold a “Listening Post” on Monday,
February 4, 2008 at Waterloo City Hall to help
him continue his work on behalf of Iowa’s
interests. Freeman will bring Harkin’s mobile
office to Waterloo to hear the concerns of
Black Hawk County residents and be of
assistance to those with questions about their
dealings with the federal government.
“Our mobile office is a great way for
my staff and me to keep in touch with Iowans,”
said Harkin. “Folks don’t have to travel far to
find out what I’m working on or how I can help
them with a problem. Every year my mobile
office reaches out to all 99 counties bringing
information and assistance to the people of our
state.”
Harkin’s staff travels across
the state to ensure that all Iowans have easy
access to constituent services and
information. The “Listening Posts”
supplement office hours already in progress at
Harkin’s five regional offices in Cedar Rapids,
Davenport, Des Moines, Dubuque, and Sioux
City.
