Harkin Applauds Dubuque for Bringing New Hormel Foods Facility and Jobs to the Area

Washington, D.C. – As Hormel Foods announced this morning its plan to build a state-of-the-art food processing facility in Dubuque and add 180 new jobs to the area, U.S. Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) made the following statement commending the City of Dubuque for furthering their economic development.

“Today’s exciting news is a testament to the strength of the Dubuque community. Recently recognized nationally as one of the 100 best communities for young people, the city continuously provides its hard-working residents with good schools, hospitals and ways of life. I am glad that Hormel Foods recognized the Dubuque’s tremendous draw and made the wise decision to expand their business in Iowa,” said Harkin.
