Let Sen. Grassley know that you want to protect Social Security

Senator Charles Grassley has scheduled a series of Town Hall meetings across Iowa between May 31st and June 1st. As chair of the Senate Finance Committee, Grassley will play a major role in creating and moving through any Social Security legislation put forth by the president. We are confident that before doing so, Senator Grassley will want to hear from you.

Please commit some time in the coming days to take action and send Senator Grassley a message that we need to protect Social Security. Here are three simple actions you can take today:

1) Call Senator Grassley’s office and let his staff know that you are opposed to private accounts. 2) Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper in favor of protecting social security. You can also use our online letters-to-the-editor tool at www.iowademocrats.org. Just visit the home page and click on the “Protect Social Security” icon in the right-hand sidebar.

3) Organize a group of people to attend Senator Grassley’s Town Hall forum closest to you and ask him the questions you want answered about the president’s plans for Social Security. The scheduled Town Hall Meetings are:
