Bio
Mary Gaskill is serving her 4th term in
the Iowa House. Mary grew up on a small family
farm near Ravenwood, Missouri. She is the
daughter of Joseph Andrew and K. Lucile Meyer.
Mary moved to Iowa in 1962 and has lived in
Ottumwa since 1966. After graduation from high
school at Ravenwood in 1959, Mary attended
Business School at Gard University in St.
Joseph, Missouri. Previously, Mary completed
twenty-two years of dedicated service to
Wapello County, sixteen as County Auditor and
six as clerk to the County Auditor. Mary and
her husband, Jim, reside in Ottumwa. Jim is a
retired Iowa State Trooper. They have four
children: Rex, Alicia, Kathy, and Brenda. They
are the proud grandparents of seven
grandchildren.
